The bombing of the Russian airliner reflects the long conflict between Islamic extremists and Egypt that has spread south to the coastal fantasy land.21:26 25.11.15 | 0 comments
It may be understandable why Israelis have moved rightwards after their attempts at conflict resolution were rebuffed but if Israel needed to be in the West Bank after the 67 war for security purposes, it was soldiers they needed there, not civilians. The settlers are there for extreme ideological reasons or to benefit from subsidised housing. Israel builds there because it says it needs more "living space". The various peace initiatives have addressed Israel's concerns and the West Bank would be a demilitarised state with Israel having early warning systems in the Jordan Valley. If Israelis want to be more right-wing fair enough, but let them be so on their own land, not someone else's. The occupation makes the state less, not more secure.
