Itamar Rabinovitch the esteemed negotiator for Israel vs Syria in perpetuating the folly of his negotiations of the past . His long and boring essay has not shed any new light on the issue, which we all know. The comparison of Egypt and Syria is ridiculous. Egypt while was a bitter enemy of Israel , as all Arabs are, was not a base of terror , was a regional power , major military and political force in the Arab world, and basically wanted to restore it's honor and prestige in the Arab and world scene. There is no real reason we should want to negotiate a deal with Syria. We are in a good strategical amd military position ,and we have no reason to fool ourselves , that this immature "idiot" who harbors terror will embrace his new found Israeli friends and give up up on the tremendous riches and rewards Iran wants to bestow on him to continue his terrorist, periolous and treacherous ways. If Israel feels threatened, they should give Assad a 24 hour ultimatum to take out the missile
