This unknown diplomat is of course right. Israel thinks first of attacking a perceived enemy. Iran has invaded nobody. It's the old old policy of inventing an outside enemy to avoid tackling internal problems. Look how it has succeeded - the Israeli govt has managed to unite the country against Iran (without any evidence of their intent to develop a nuclear bomb). As the diplomat says, if Israel shows itself a real enemy of Iran, it will unite the country behind Ahmadinejad.
