Burston is not naive. He isn't suggesting that everything has fallen into line, but rather that it might. The major point presents at the beginning - an enormous number of Israelis showed up to a public protest. Considering the endemic apathy Israelis have shown in the past, this is a promising sign. In fact, it's enough to give one diaspora Jew some faith in the country we've regretfully given up on.
