Yael Patir, Israel director of the left-leaning U.S. Jewish body, sat down with Haaretz to talk about Trump, the gap between U.S. and Israeli Jews, and the growing anger at the Israeli peace camp. Though she concedes boycott efforts by some on the left have a negative effect, she rejects calls to keep peace efforts local.01:12 01.05.16 | 2 comments
There are many light years between the things that an Israeli politician says regarding peace and the things that he does. Normally Israeli peace talk is meant to placate America and the EU. Notice that the settlement expansion never stops, even when a freeze is supposedly in place. In Israel, more than any other place in the world, action speaks louder than words. The international community knows Israels tricks by not, but they are not motivated to address it.
