The trouble in comparing state Christianity in the UK with state Judaism in Israel is that the former is a largely irrelevant vestige of the distant past, whereas the latter is a living issue that currently dominates modern Israel and its future. We do have some vestigial trappings of state Christianity, but the fact is Britain makes huge efforts to ensure that it does not dscriminate in any way between citizens of different colour, religion and ethnic background. By contrast Haaretz regularly carries articles about how, in Israel, Arabs are systematically discriminated against. They get less public money, worse jobs, worse schools, worse healthcare, they find it hard to get building permits, they can't bring friends and family into the country etc. etc. etc.
