I've always defended Ehud Barak because his intentions seemed genuine about establishing peace with the Palestinians and the Arab nations - he pulled the troops out of Lebanon, offered in 2000 Camp David peace deal, presents Israel well abroad, intelligent, etc. But his somewhat mixed message in abandoning Olmert, Livni and the Labour party, leaves many of us perplexed about why he's supporting in a right-leaning coalition of dormant politicians!
