As an individual who lived through the civil rights movement here in Chicago, let me say this comparison is repulsive. These settlers are not victims. The benefits they reap at the expense of native Palestinians (many who used to live in what is now Israel proper) is disgusting. The Palestinians have to wait for water while these settlers get clean water for their pools, etc? Jewish only roads? The American Jews stood by my people side by side during the civil rights movement. The irony is that many of these settlers are American Jews who come from New York and abroad. Eldad, my friend you have no complaint. If anyone has a complaint, it's the Palestinians. You single handedly minimize the suffering of black Americans with our null and void comparison.
