Gilad Shalit cannot be considered a POW, he must have regular checkups by the Red Cross to be considered so by international law. More importantly, palestinians in Israeli jails are there because they commited a crime. More importantly, they are still treated well. Fed, clothed, allowed religious freedoms, and given a free education. Does anyone really believe that Gilad Shalit is receiving the same consideration?
