I have to apologise and explain that we are not all like 'them' every time they get on a plane with 3 pieces of hand luggage! The Manchester plane by Thomson stopped because they were always fined for being late due to waiting for the Haredim to sit next to a suitable person. Now Jet2 will probably do the same. It is damn right rude and ignorant. If the airlines don't stop it, once again the Haredim concerned will become more and more powerful. By the way I am a member of a long dynasty of an Othodox shule (although I frequently get asked if I am Jewish outside of the shule. I know some wonderful Chabad rabbis who always speak with me alone and are true gentlemen. So who are these very often heavily overweight people, often in need of a good washing machine who travel in mass and give 'ordinary Jewish people and Israelis' such bad press? They would find me to be a very interesting person if they decided to sit next to me!

The dating shame: Orthodox obsession with externals
