Unfortunately we can not wait until that loyal to Israel yet discerning generation of young Jews that Bradley mentions with such hope and confidence takes the helm. We urgently and desperately need a public consensus and a public outcry NOW! How can anyone who professes to love this country stand idly by and watch it being torn asunder by the forces of bigotry and racism? This is NOT the fabric of a nation or of a society that Ben Gurion and the founders of Israel had envisioned or proclaimed and it is high time we stood by and stood up for those original principles of democratic and humanistic values that would make Israel the shining beacon of a nation it should be and still can be. Let us take collective action to bring about an annulment and repeal of those laws that were designed to drag us back to the dark ages and bring shame on all of us who would silently stand by and accept such an abomination.
