    1. Previously 40% of Dorms to Arabs and 40% Israeli students - We demand FULL INVESTIGATION - the statistics is clear - since Arabs account for less then 20% of the population they should have had around 16% of the Dorms (80% x 0.2) but they , until this year, received 40% which means they got 250% more then what one would expect. The stats are clear - Israelis have been racially discriminated by the university. While the university may be trying to reduce this racist imbalance - and so an act in the right direction - this does not address the issue of justice for all those who suffered such abuse nor is the system guranteing equality for the future. We demand an independent commission of inquiry. (somehow the Arab students did not complain by 250% favoritism in allocation towards them - I am sure they did not realise) 2. No - they are not required by law to serve. They obviously refused national service for their own community (major campaign against it). So not been required is not the same as not not doing. Obviously people who contribute should be taken into account - the same as on Job application one rights about community work etc, the same as we expect companies to contribute to society ,etc - and we should encourage those who contribute vs. those who are happy to receive and complain (Even when they received 250% more they 'should have')

from the article: No place in university dorms for Arabs who didn't serve in IDF
