My daughter is in the 6th grade at a Tel Aviv school. Today she had an argument with a classmate during the science class. The boy got mad, stood up (the class was a big mess; the teacher tried to control the kids, but couldn't), opened my daughter's bag, took her pencil box and her sandwich and threw them through the window. Both things fell on the roof of a lower story in the building, filled with rain water. The teacher looked all over the school for the principal and the group director to get some help, but got nothing. At the end nothing happened. Nobody did a thing. My daughter is still crying. The science teacher is frustrated and scared. He knows that at the end somebody is going to throw all the responsibility on him. The group director has already said that he was not there when it all happened and it has been impossible to speak with the principal today. He is too busy. This is 6th grade. I tremble when I think on junior high next year.
