Although I'm totally secular and a progressive myself, and I for one do not agree at all with the lifestyle and ideas many of these haredim have, this article is full with fear which I feel is not correct. Yes, demographics in cities across Israel are changing due to the arrival of many of these haredim, and yes, at times this can mean a real infringement on the life of us secular Israelis. But not all haredim are alike, and not all are extreme, nor do all try to "take over". Israeli democracy is too solid and Israeli society is too diverse for that too happen. So why all the fear? Israel is a diverse country, embrace it and only rattle the cage when it is really necessary.
