The Orthodox Rabbinate forgot they are not majority, not in Israel, and not overseas. Basically, fellow jews, The Judaism bus into the 21st century is being driven by a minority. I got married last year in Cyprus, both of us are jews, but did not want to participitate of this enormous circus imposed to us. Later on, got married in Israel with a reform Rabbi (a woman by the way). It was beautiful, touching, people did not eat and talk :) and we felt it was our wedding, not a protocol. Israel as a democracy, can not continue to support this minority driven decision making group. My tax money goes to them :(
