In Wiesel’s uncensored Hebrew 'Night' manuscript, unveiled here for the first time, the author expresses desire to take revenge on the Hungarians, lashes out at fellow Jews and describes sexual scenes from the train to Auschwitz.03:47 01.05.16 | 5 comments
If you look at historical records orthodoxy has not been the standard since the beginning. Certainly in Temple days there were a lot of different ways to be a Jew. Think pharisees, sadducees, ascetics who renounced sexual relations, etc. The idea of uniformity the orthodox insist on is a relatively recent heresy.
