Philip makes a good point about Hamas and their most basic beliefs. Make no mistake that they are still a terrorist organization. I know the word terrorist is thrown about too loosely, but it's undeniable here. If they want to reform and become a positive political force, they must recognize Israel's right to existand denounce terrorist attacks. Just because a party is legitamtely voted in does not mean that their policies and practises are legitamate. I do not like seeing these Palestinian politicians arrested and tried but thier views are extremist and could never allow for a lasting peace. Poor Abu Mazen, he was so close to making progress for his people. Now they are isolated from the rest of the world and suffering after they elected a government that will not reform. I can't wait until there is FINALLY some strong leadership in the Middle East. So why do so many people who have never even been to the region feel the need to post here?! Get a clue.
