    There is an abyss between the stated objective of the committee (inquiry on funding of leftist NGOs) and the menacing promise of Ben-Ari to "protect Israel from all sorts of haters who wish to see it destroyed". The conflation of the two means in practice nothing else than institutionalized attribution of the label Israel haters onto any group some foreign donations that Ben Ari will be in the mood to judge as being of leftist orientation. Yesterday only wackos à la Peter SM could claim on talkbacks that Peace Now can qualify as an Israel-hater with sole purpose to destroy it. Tomorrow its the systematic governmental position and legal action. I am even talking about the question of how illegal is foreign funding (all NGOs by definition subsist from non governmental incoms) nor how is it possible that the inquiry won't discuss the billions flowing to the right-wing organizations busy with activity that is contradictory to the stated objectives of the Israeli government.
