Israel built its Jewish majority on ethnic cleansing and maintains an apartheid system even within the '67 borders. Israel's failure to come to terms with this and to recognise the Palestinian demand for justice undermines its democracy. better that israel was a democratic state for palestinian Jews and Arabs in all of Palestine than a colonial apartheid state that reinforces emnity, brutality and (low-intensity) warfare. i know that all the hate-mongers will respond to this with a wave of putrid racist bile, this I think only reinforces my point.
