"Jerusalem's holiest site - once again triggering crises between Muslims and Jews and between regional states - cannot remain hostage to extremists." NO SITE triggers anything. PEOPLE do. In the case of the Temple Mount, the ARABS trigger violence time and again, throwing stones - including large bricks - at Jews. From 1948 until 1967, under Arab rule, no Jews were allowed into the Old City of Jerusalem. From 1967, under Jewish rule, the keys were graciously given to the Arab Waqf. Under their rule Jews are barely tolerated in Temple Mount. Jews are not allowed to pray there. The Arabs discriminate against Jews, and the Israeli police support this discrimination for the sake of "peace and order". "Peace" with discrimination, "Order" - at the order of the anti-Jewish Arabs.
