Calls for negotiations, generosity, etc., only indicate how out of touch some people still are. Terrorist groups like Hamas, Hizbollah and Al-Aksa Martyrs only use negotiations as a PR gimmick. Their stated goal - the destruction of Israel - will remain and they will pursue it with single-minded devotion The IDF must fight fire with fire. By creating and clinging to a "persona" of an ethical army that "cares" about civilian casualties it only limits, not enhances its abilities. This simply gives Hamas & Hizbullah the upper handed tactically. When the Jewish armies lead by Joshua enter the Holy Land, they practiced "milchemet kedusha," Holy War, destroying everything that resisted. Perhaps a little bit of that attitude today would eliminate those who stand in the way of negotiations and true peace.
