Schwarz is the last deli left in Montreal. bens closed up, when I was a kid there was a place called deliboys in Cote St. Luc. Guy names Sonney used to run it. It was great. Dunns downtown as a little kid was a good place. Its slowly all disappearing. Yes there are still a few places left, not like the good old delies. The proablem in New York, a sandwich cost 16-20 dollars after tax etc. The only Deli left standing is Kattz on the Lower east side. Stage, Carnegie deli all tourist traps. The latter made famous by Wood Alen Film Danney Rose, 2nd Ave deli closed, the new one is no where what 2nd Ave deli was. That was a great place in the East Villiage. Jews want Sushi at there Bar and Bat Mitzfas,. To all the smokemeat and pastomi lovers out there, enjoy and eat. Go whre the Pickles and coldslaw go "Hyme on the range", (Mickey Katz Song) Who is Mickey Katz , Joel Grey Father, Grandfather of Dirty Dancing Dancer.
