Israel can call itself what ever it people vote to call itself, a Jewish state or not, and security will come only once border are defined, so Netanyahu has is clearly trying to derail peace by making ludicrous demand of the Palestinians that serve no purpose. Israel is, and will be, what it is without the permission of the Palestinians so forcing he Palestinians to make a meaningless statement has no purpose other than to undermine the peace process. Israel has a chance to earn its right to exist, whether it does so is completely up to Israelis.
