But since 47, Israel has fought wars on the DEFENSIVE, until recently that is. International law recognizes one, but not the other. In 47/48, the compromise was offered by the UN. The zionists accepted, the Arabs did not. When they attacked, they attacked Israel. In 67 and 73, the wars were defensive. Yes, there was a preemtive strike on Cairo, but war had already been declared.
