The Mavi Marara is entirely within its rights to install any defensive system currently approved for passenger ships and merchant vessels operating in hostile waters. If the IHH adopts the "lessons learned" from last years failed mission it would add a few "surprises" for this years flotilla. Such measures should include: 1. razor wire ringing the perimeter of the ship 2. high-presure water cannon stationed strategically 3. LRAD or Long Range Acoustic Devices to cause intense pain to the ears of the frogmen 4. high-powered searchlights to blind the pirates at night and lasers to temporilly blind them in daytime 5. MDS or a mobility denial system which is a slippery gel sprayed on any potential area good for fast-ropers from helicopters to make them fall all over themselves 6. Reinforce the bow of the ship so it can ram any enemy vessel attempting to cut it off. 7. Install prop guards to prevent ropes or chains from fouling the props, 8. The most important addition of all would be a helicopter on one of the ships able to stand off and record the entire raid and make a run for safety.
