I have never met an Israeli capable of net assessment. The IDF generates force about 20 times more efficiently than the U.S.!On a budget of about 12 billion the IDF has to fight a low intensity war, while generating a combat force structure with 15+ ugdahs and 3000 sorties. The IDF is grossly underfunded. The two Phantom 2000 squadrons were prematurely grounded, vehicles have not been updated, inventories are to low, training has been grossly inadequate, the rate of recapitalization is far to low. There should be 25 fire control systems on IDF/N ships, there actually are about 6!Why, they are made in Israel and widely exported? Because there is not enough money and the navy has low priority. Sure there is some fat. But the muscle has withered for lack of funding. Israelis will pay a blood tax for underfunding defence. How can anyone explain the passivity of hundreds of thousands of military personnel and their families who must know they are unready and not well prepared
