honoured casualty of war. This is a very sad situation for the country and even more so for his family. But the alternative is worse. Our enemies do not want peace. This is an ideological battle on their part and they will never be satisfied until Israel ceases to exist. We should all understand the Arab mentality by now, in that they see any compromise on our part as a weakness to be capitalised on, and any offensive on our part to be feared. Look how hamas begged for a ceasefire during the recent hostilities in gaza. Increase the jail time of those that hamas is demanding to be released. Aprehend the leaders who send others to do their dirty work. Bomb them every day until they capitulate. And fire off shells and misiles at random they way they do to us. These people only understand the language of strength. Show them any weakness and they will use the same tactics over and over again. And last of all, has anyone thought what Gilads thoughts on the matter might be? I doubt that any loyal soldier of the IDF would put others in peril ahead of his own life. Our young men and women wear their uniforms with pride. Allow Gilad to complete his final mission with dignaty.
