There was no forced exile and Jews could have in the last 2000 years immigrated to Palestine but CHOSE not to. The abracadabra argument - poof! Israel and Jews have suddenly and magically appeared on the landscape - and nothing has changed since 70 A,D. in this land. This has to be greatest hoax ever perpetrated in all of history. Having said that, today facts on the ground are what they are - Jews are here and so is Israel - and rather than talk dividing this land - which since early 1900 countless of studies and commissions have shown is impossible to do without serious population transfer of the natives. We need to get beyond a failed approach - division/ partition - and deal with creating a political structure that insures both Jews and Arabs can co-exist - without ONE or the Other dominating or infringing on the others rights. Plenty of examples where different language, religions, and cultures manage to co-exist. This solution will not satisfy hardened Zionists or extreme Islamists which makes it the perfect plan. A democratic state with many caveats that protects everyone -, Jews, Christians, Muslims and Atheists alike.
