    .....although I must confess that I agree with the proposal of having our awful ship sail it´s course, that we one day might realize the consequenses and maybe - wake up and initiate change. But why has Israel drifted rightwards? Answer: the second intifada, the rockets from Hamas in Gaza - and so on. To this we have to add apathy, political indolence and the fact that israelis are preoccupied with their lives. The one thing that would change Israel and steer us all on course away from the aggressive attitudes of Lieberman and the national-religious rabbis and Netanyahu, would be 5 years without terror and wars, and during the same period: peaceful och popular uprisings and demonstrations in the West Bank, togehter with a concerted and constructive effort by Obama and the europeans. And reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas, of course. But will all this happen? I don´t know....
