1st: bear in mind the horrible desacration which took place during jordanian rule, but also continues to this day through arabs vandalizing graves on the mount of olives. the things is, that according to jewish law, graves are for eternity. in islam this is NOT the case 2nd: in the mamilla area, the waqf some decades ago declared a big tract of land as not a cemetary anymore. because according to islam, this IS possible. this land does not belong to them anymore, which is why both according to the laws of the state and islam, the islamic movement is WRONG. if they want to restore the existing mamilla cemetary, it is their right, but not beyond.
