Since neither of the two cares about the Palestinian point of view - nor do the authors as far as I can see- it is not surprising to see the deal unravel a few hours later. There is something called involving all stakeholders and one of the stakeholders (however much the authors, Kerry, Indyk (the AIPAC sidekick) might hate them) are the palestinians.
