Daybreak, I think our arguments vary because of difference in the assumptions we hold as fact. I know I asked you this before, have you ever read Oakeshotte “Experience and its Modes”. It is fascinating. This is my perception of where we digress. You seem (IMO) to assume because the initial Yishuv came with peaceful intentions (though their ideology still seems Eurocentric to me, kind of we come in peace to “better” you, similar to the message of Christian missionaries) that Palestinians could not and should not have perceived a viable threat to their future sovereignty. I do not work with that initial premise. Therefore, the history that occurs afterward is seen in a much different light.
