What do you come here for? I ask, because I bother you often and perhaps I should not. You had said it was just Israel bashers. Is that all? Is that all you want to see from the dialogues is equity? I come here to talk because my DH dislikes politics and philosophy, so I look for others who would like to discuss this. I hear a general lack of understanding that Palestinians are human. What I search for is that people do not condition their humanity, or ability to be treated as humans. It has take way too long for the West to accept the humanity of the Jews. I think we have arrived now where there is empathy despite religious differences. I don't see that for Arabs.. What is more, their difference in culture and symbolism impedes their ability to address their dehumanization well. There are differences brought through the cyclical versus linear thinking (your Ben-Ami quote shows well), so much is lost by basic underlying cultural and communication styles being so different.

Palestinian workers stand under a shelter

You love Israel and hate occupation. What do you do?

There's a certain freedom in a time of extremism and obsession and chaos. Freedom to chart a new course. Freedom to love Israel. Freedom to help undo what it's done in your name.

How Isaiah gave Hebrew its word for vagina

If St Jerome and other experts are right, Israelis may have thought that 'pot' meant vulva, but actually they were saying cup. Or forehead. Or maybe something else.
