"There is no flood of Mexicans coming to the US. There is a demand for cheap labor which creates market controls on the flow. The rest is racist hysteria and post 9/11 paranoia." Really? Perhaps the rarified air in Ojai hides the facts from ou. My daughter cannot attend our local public school because it is 98% Hispanic. I'm funny in that I would like to see her classes in a school funded by my tax dollars be in English the entire day. Silly me. Come join us in AZ. I'm in the minority now. And don't call me a racist. I live in America. If I want to be exposed to Spanish daily and have my daughter exposed to the rich culture of Mexico, I'll move there. Hard-working, loving to their families or not, if Mexicans want to live here, they need to come legally like everyone else.

Why we don't know how to pick our leaders

Our craving for ideology means that we are partial to ideological leaders. But we need leaders who will make smart decisions that are aligned with the public interest.
