Jews here in the US quite correctly oppose our being named a Christian country because it would define everyone who is not Christian as a second class citizen. If declaring the US a Christian nation makes non-Christians second class, why doesn't declaring Israel a Jewish nation make non-Jews second class? If it's wrong to do to a Jew, its wrong to do by a Jew.
