A seasoned observer of Palestinian society and politics like Danny Rubinstein sees where things are going. The two state solution - barring a miracle - is dead and what would have been unimaginable in the 1960s is now slowly beginning to emerge as a reality: the one state solution between the river and the sea. Well, let's have it. Why not? The reality is that this is one land with two peoples, who will have to learn to live together as equals. Jews can say that they are living in all of Eretz Yisrael, while Palestinians, including the Islamists, can say that the whole of Palestine has been redeemed. The example of South Africa has shown that Apartheid like solutions within one state will not work. It is going to be one man, one vote. Forget about the stupid demographics. Look at your neighbour as just another human being and who cares if he/she is Jewish, Muslim, Christian or an atheist. What matters is to work together for the prosperity of the one country that all are sharing.
