The baltic peoples took revenge upon jews (anti-semitism notwithstanding) because there were many jews who helped the Soviets with the deportation of the "goyim". My father was pointed out by a jewish "friend" to the NKVD and guess what - he managed to survive (by escaping from the execution squad). And he never allowed any anti-semitism to take root in him. As a matter of fact, our family "saved" a jewish partisan group from certain death in 1943 - whose leader was Abel Weinstein. He became the Soviets' principal "banditry" hunter in Lithuania at the end of WWII. He also killed 61 Lithuanians that he suspected had something to do with death of his family. The point here? Innocent jews paid for the sins of the guilty one!
