I don't think I'm being hard enough. I am a Jew and I support Israel. You know this from my other posts. But I am an American first, or I should have made aliyah by now. My complaints about Israel cheering on the Iraq war are justified, and the Israelis should be the last to complain about American failure there, since they got the war they wanted. Regarding spirituality in Israeli society, that is their business. However, I will NOT stand for Israelis criticizing the "spiritual vaccuum" of American society, as if they don't have similar problems. I especially have issues with such complaints when they come from an American Jew who moved to Israel because he's bitter he couldn't fit into America.
