Daniel, As you well know, it is impossible to separate Zionism and Judaism (which is why the great Martin Luther King said that when people speak against Zionism, they are really speaking against Judaism). We have prayed three times a day toward Jerusalem. At the end of every Passover Seder, we say "Next year in Jerusalem." The Torah is a story of our special connection to Israel. There has been an unbroken Jewish connection to Israel for thousands and thousands of years. So what you mean when you talk about "Zionistic (SIC) nightmares"? Innocent casualties of war are always tragic. But more tragic is the fact that Palestinians have chosen to launch more than 500 rockets into Israel, and that they launch these rockets from civilian areas. Maybe you and Gideon Levy think Israel should just roll-over and die, but Israelis don't agree. You seem to like Jews who march to their deaths better than Jews who defend themselves.

Hello 40th birthday, goodbye news

A milestone birthday is as good an opportunity as any for a midlife crisis about the Middle East crises.
