I have no objections to anyone peacefully practicing their religion but this giant mosque, at that location, at this time, is an affront to all victims of senseless jihadism like 9/11. Since 9/11 there have been over 15,000 islamic terrorist attacks worldwide-very few had anything to do with Israel/Pal problem which tells me that even if it was resolved the attacks would continue. Also, who is financing this mega-mosque and what kind of literature and teachings will be dispensed from it? If it's the fundamentalist, no human rights, intolerant Saudi brand then it absolutely should never be built. On the other hand, if the americans and japanese after so much hatred and violence towards each other can consider themselves friends then there is hope someday others could do that but I'm afraid your right, without reformation it is very likely that a couple of cities in the west will be attacked with crude nukes delivered by crude methods and if that happens in america, the age of wishful thinking and appeasement will end and we will go to all-out war against the islamic states which sponsored and supported these hateful terrorists-and we all know who they are. Had american muslims demonstrated in force against the murder of 3,000 of our citizens I might have a different opinion but their silence only contributes to suspicions about their motives. Nitza (2) shouldn't worry too much because there is already legislation being worked-on which will outlaw sharia law in the US.
