Obama's outspoken criticism against Israel has emboldened Israel's enemies in an unprecedented way. Turkey is threatening Israel and Jordan is having second thoughts about its peace treaty with Israel. Unfortunately, this may all be in Israel's favor. Whereas in the past, the US's friendly alliance with Israel allowed them to gently pressure Israel into risky concessions, Obama's hostile approach is causing the vast majority of Israelis to distrust Obama and his new Mid East policies. Israel will not make any concessions to a US government they distrust. Obama is now curtailing arms sales to Israel to stop them from attacking Iran. This reckless policy may force Israel to use unconventional weapons if left without the conventional alternative. This will then create a nuclear arms race in the Middle East greatly compromising American interests.
