Some people on this site would regard me as anti-Israel, but I'm not. I'm much more pro-peace. I've said for years, and I still believe it, that the only way for ME peace is the Dayton Balkans option - huge pressure on both sides to compromise, all key questions agreed in one deal, staged and verifiable implementation like you say. You note that I say pressure on both sides. I think you misread my support for international pressure as aimed against just against Israel. It's not. Clearly Israel can't be expected to implement a peace that makes Jews a minority in Israel. Israel will fight on if that is the only option. Therefore, what is needed is a creative solution which allows both sides to claim a victory on the point, perhaps like a token return of a few tens of thousands of the Pals with the strongest claims, then international pressure for both sides to accept. My keenness for international pressure is not by the way, patronising to either Jews or Arabs. Sometimes we all need help
