J Street's self-anointed head zog, Jeremy Ben-Ami, reminds me of Palestinian leaders. No lie is to big so long as it serves the purpose. Take J Street's warped idea of what is wrong with Israel. Despite our robust economy, our solid armed forces, and our flawed but very stable and functional democratic institutions, J Street accuses us of falling apart because of "the settlements". Here's what J Street's official policy is: "Israel's settlements ... have drained Israel's economy, military, and democracy and eroded the country's ability to uphold the rule of law." Funny, but we have the highest GDP in the region, the highest per capita income, and dozens of the world's top corporate empires have major holdings here. Our military is the strongest in the region, and while we have lots of criticism over our clogged courts and dysfunctional Knesset, Israel remains a strong and vibrant democracy where law rules, not the mob. J Street doesn't criticize. They lie, just like our enemies.
