I'm an American WASP who has always supported Israel's efforts to defend itself from the threats to its existence. My observation is that your right wing has been much more successful in keeping the country safe than the leftists who continue to believe that they can negotiate peace from a position of weakness. That strategy hasn't worked out well......anywhere, any time. We American right-wingers are on the verge of taking back the reins of American government from Obama and the leftists who came in with him. Hopefully, we can complete that housecleaning in 2012, and elect someone such as Palin or Gingrich who will give Israel tforget the support it deserves. If we had neighbors who rained rockets on the U.S. for several months, and an American President did not respond by frying the perpetrators with nuclear weapons, he would be impeached and replaced with someone who would do exactly that. Forget the European Left. Europe would not and could not muster the will to defend itself from an actual armed invasion. That's why the Eurowimps heap scorn on any American leader who confronts evil on the international stage. They hated Reagan, and George Bush......but they should be bracing themselves for a return in 2010 to what they call "cowboy diplomacy." Cowards hate two people. They hate the bully, of course. But secretly, they also hate the hero.....because he demonstrates that it actually is possible to stand up forcefully to the bully, and thus......exposes their cowardice. Right on, Mr. Netanyahu. Kick ass! (As we say in the South.)
