When I lived in the UK ,anytime it was reported that a Jewish person had committed a crime or acted improperly, whether financially, abusively,or criminally , I cringed and suffered inwardly from embarrassment. Now ,here, everytime I read the actions of our country, whether building new stuff in the west bank ,demolishing Arab homes, being 'undiplomatic' to other diplomats , or just being plain arrogant and not caring about the rest of the world (including our effect on other Jews throughout the world, I take my blood pressure and adjust my medication. Much as I love this country, I would not want anyone to think that I agree with much of what is happening. This evidently also applies to other Jewish people who care enough to bother to try to make their voices heard.(such as J Street)
