Let's give credit to the Arab League for attempting to preserve the peace talks even as Israel seems to be doing everything it can to derail them. In fairness to Netanyahu, his government is held aloft by some very wild- eyed right wing belligerents who will give him no room to move, even though I strongly suspect his heart is with them all the way. The talks will likely fail, however, and Israel will be to blame. But, as Israel well knows, there is little punishment to go with that blame; just its reputation, which couldn't be lower.
