Firstly, using the term coward is extremely harsh. Perhaps the writer doesn't understand that the word is so heavily loaded. Secondly, Rabin came to power in July 1992, and was assassinated 3.5 years later. During that time he had to overcome effective opposition by extremist groups on both sides. Treading carefully under such conditions is mandatory, and absolutely no indication of cowardice. Perhaps Gideon Levy is the type to drive 200 mph down the freeway with his eyes closed. Driving like that does not make one worthy of respect, and driving slower with open eyes does not make one a coward.
