This is a very minute example of what I mean when I say that Israel's actions are counter-productive and a loss to itself and its people. It can be far worse for later generations of Israelis, if something drastic were not to take place -- that is, if you call a viable, sovereign Palestinian state within borders recognized by the UN since pre-1967, as drastic. Feel free to call it fair and just if you're right-minded.
