want to "end the occupation that started in 1967" and ,if so, would this be a surprise to the US? Hardly.Over 40 years of "indirect talks" has lead to nothing but an establishment of illegal settlements and a firmer grip on the occupied Palestinians. It is high time for the International Community to act, with the US at the helm and the UN close behind. I'm almost sure that Palau, the Marshall Island and Micronesia can be pursuaded to joint the civilized world. "The Palestinians don't want us to leave" will not work in the future, how far away that future is, is anybody's guess. I would hope to see, in my life time, the most brutal occupation on earth come to an end. "How many times can a man turn his head and pretend that he just doesn't see"?
