You really don't get it. Let me try to explain how your average Arab thinks of you. Imagine if you well a White South African, during Aparthide rule, trying to "build" bridges to and open "dialog" with other African nations (or any nation at that time for that matter). How many Blacks would find a White Supramacist goodwell gesture inviting? Not too many. Same for all fo you Jewish supramacist out there. Why would a non-Jew, and particularly and Arab, reach out to you knowing, from eveyday expereince, how you treat other ethnic Arabs and non-Jews under your domination. Why would any Arab in his or her right mind want to stand next to you knowing what you think of Arabs and how you as citizens of a democracy (a racial democracy like ol'South Africa) have consistently dispossesed Arabs, by a majority vote? Why do you feel betrayed and surprised at a normal reaction of loating and disguest at your racial practices? Egypt is an Arab country. the Palestinians are Arabs. You disposess Arabs as a matter of state policy, a state whoes operative are democraticlly elected. I would be embarassed to be standing next to an Israeli under the present circumstances. You are the last South Africa and your time is up.
